DESCRIPTION:The seminars are open to all\, and research students at CEB an
 d MedImmune are especially invited to attend. The talks will be about 30-4
 5 minutes long\, and questions are encouraged which open up new avenues fo
 r discussion. Tea and biscuits will be  provided.\n\nGeorge Orwell’s _Po
 litics and the English language_\; EB White’s _The Elements of Style_\; 
 The Chicago Manual of Style\; checklists\; template documents\; _How to Wr
 ite a Scientific Paper_. Endless miles of text have been written in the ef
 fort to promote better writing… and some of it is worth reading. In this
  talk I will recommend some good sources to inspire better writing – mai
 nly aimed at research students.
