DESCRIPTION:For several classes&nbsp\; of&nbsp\; functions invertibility a
 nd factorability are equivalent\; such is the case\, e.g.\, for the Wiener
  class W or the algebra APW of almost periodic functions with absolutely c
 onvergent Bohr-Fourier series.  The result for W extends to the matrix set
 ting\; not so for APW. Moreover\, the factorability criterion even for 2-b
 y-2 triangular matrix functions with APW entries and constant determinant 
 remains a mystery. We will discuss some known results in this direction\, 
 and more specific open problems.
