DESCRIPTION:Designing intelligent systems and interfaces with socio-emotio
nal skills is a challenging task. Past works have mainly focussed on autom
atically analysing expressions\, affect and personality of people in indiv
idual settings. However\, when we move from single user settings to multiu
ser and group ones\, the process of affect analysis calls for new definiti
ons\, new datasets with meaningful annotations\, and appropriate feature e
xtraction and classification mechanisms in space and time. This talk quest
ions some of the initial assumptions made in this area\, and presents an o
verview of the works we have undertaken in recent years in human-human and
  human-human-robot interaction settings.
