DESCRIPTION:I will talk about how one can use dark matter detectors for pu
 rposes other than what they were designed for.  In particular\, I will exp
 lain how they can be used to look for unstable particles in the dark secto
 r\, as well as low mass dark matter.  I will also show how one can use the
 m to look for neutrinos and to test for beyond the standard model physics 
 of neutrino interactions\, including potentially the elusive CNO neutrinos
  from the Sun which are required to shed light on the Solar metallicity pr
 oblem.
