DESCRIPTION:\nThe Met Office Unified Model is a state of the art general c
irculation model that is used operationally worldwide for weather forecast
s and climate projections. Ensuring that the code is well tested is essent
ial\, and a comprehensive test harness is in place at the Met Office and p
artner sites to aid in development. However\, what is available for UK aca
demics and their groups\, but do not have access to these resources? This
talk will discuss running the Unified Model in a virtual machine environme
nt\, and will cover using this system for testing and training new users.
