 CU Entrepreneurs is now in the final phase of its competition.  We will be
  awarding prizes of £5000 to businesses in the categories Technology & Cl
 eanTech\, Social & Environmental\, and Software & Web. This is the opportu
 nity in Cambridge to gain recognition and establish your venture as the on
 e to watch!\n\nAs with the £1k challenge\, prior entry is not required\, 
 although each team must have at least one member of the University. Read t

 r more information. To help you write the best possible entry\, the Resour
 ces page has guides and slides from our training events and workshops.\n\n
 In Part 1 of the £5k Challenge\, submit an extended summary\, which will 
 be reviewed by our panels of judges. If the judges like what they see\, yo
 ur team will be invited to participate as competition finalists\, submitti
 ng a full business plan in Phase 2.  As with the £1k challenge\, entries 
 are judged in 3 streams -- which have slightly differing entry requirement
 s:\n\n*Technology Ideas (including CleanTech)*. Technology-based businesse
 s with a high potential for profit and growth. Entrants are to submit a 35
 00 word extended summary.\n\n*Social Enterprise Ideas (including Environme
 ntally Sustainable ventures)*. Socially and/or environmentally conscious o
 rganisations with a scalable potential for impact. Can be either for profi
 t or not-for-profit. Entrants are to submit a 3500 word extended summary. 
 \n\n*Software Ideas (including Web and Mobile)*. All ventures with a softw
 are based development model. Entrants are to submit a 2000 word extended s
 ummary\, and a deck of  powerpoint slides presenting their business. \n\nF
