DESCRIPTION:I will first present various degree structures and discuss som
 e basic facts concerning these structures. In addition\, I  provide some 
 references to the literature.\n\nThen\, I will address the phenomenon of g
 lobalisation: roughly the fact that in many cases local interpretability i
 n one theory coincides with global interpretability in another theory.\n\n
 In discussing globalisation\, we will review some important notions like t
 he Orey-Hájek characterization\, Uniform Tarski Biconditionals and First-
 order comprehension.
