DESCRIPTION:Fifty years after humans first set foot on the Moon\, writer a
 nd filmmaker Dr Christopher Riley looks back at the herculean effort it to
 ok to pull off the Apollo program and the discoveries of the less celebrat
 ed robotic missions that followed. Today we stand on the brink of a second
  Moon race\, inspired by the discoveries of the first\, as private spacefl
 ight companies and new spacefaring countries like India and China take the
  next giant leap for humankind. \n\nThe talk will be followed by refreshm
 ents outside the lecture theatre. \n\nThe talk will be at the usual locati
 on of Wolfson lecture theatre in the Department of Chemistry. The entrance
  is the opposite side of the building to Bristol-Myers-Squibb Lecture thea
 tre and is opposite the car park- shown by the red arrow on the map. https
