DESCRIPTION:Processes involving heavy flavours at the LHC have seen a mult
itude of prescriptions on how to be consistently treated from the theoreti
cal perspective in recent years. In this seminar I will firstly review how
the ambiguity leading to the various prescriptions comes about\, using as
example the production of a vector boson + heavy flavours. I will then gi
ve a biased review (and comparison where possible) on the proposed methods
 .
