DESCRIPTION:I will comment on the current state of long-lived particle (LL
 P) searches at the LHC. I will focus on the development of a signature-bas
 ed approach to survey classes of models that can give rise to these beyond
  the Standard Model states. I will also comment on the difficulties in rei
 nterpreting LLP search results from the LHC to different models\, and prov
