DESCRIPTION:The tumour microenvironment is characterised by the infiltrati
 on and activation of stromal cells and establishment of both reinforcing t
 umour-stroma crosstalk pathways and crosstalk between different stromal ce
 ll populations. This seminar will focus on the role of the cancer-associat
 ed fibroblasts (CAFs) and pericytes in breast cancer progression and the t
 herapeutic strategies we are developing\, including CAR T-cells and antibo
 dy-drug conjugates\, to target these activated stromal cell populations\, 
 particularly in the metastatic setting.
