DESCRIPTION:Scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory have a number of
surprising properties. They also provide a close link between Einstein gr
avity and Yang-Mills theory. We can exploit this link to simplify computat
ions in perturbative gravity\, and also to understand exact features of gr
avitational solutions from a new point of view. In this talk\, I will disc
uss applications of amplitudes from gravitational wave physics to the Taub
 -NUT metric.
