DESCRIPTION:The talk will be about endangered languages and language conse
 rvation\, concentrating on documentation projects that Professor Dalrymple
  has been involved with for 3 languages of Indonesia\, including one proje
 ct on Enggano Island which has recently been funded by the Arts & Humaniti
 es Research Council. In terms of the linguistic analysis\, it will not be 
 too detailed\, though some more technical linguistic content will also be 
 presented. The talk intends to be very accesible to general audience.\n\nT
 he talk will take place at the Winstanley Lecture Theatre at 18:15 with fr
 ee refreshments aviailable from 18:00. The event is free and open for all!
