DESCRIPTION:If you could reinvent scholarly communication from scratch\, w
hat would it look like for you?\n\nHow research is performed\, disseminate
d and communicated is currently undergoing a number of exciting developmen
ts that could change the landscape forever.\n\nScholarly publishing is exp
eriencing substantial changes: over the last decades publishing has gone f
rom print to online\, Open Access journals launched at the turn of the cen
tury aiming to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the intern
et and experimental findings and medical evidence are now accessible to ne
w and broader audiences.\n\nWhile the journal article has traditionally re
presented the final step in the publication process and the currency for r
esearch assessment\, research outputs can also encompass data\, software\,
tools or educational materials. In addition\, the increase in preprint us
e and discussions about ongoing or published research in social media mean
that research communication is no longer the exclusive realm of peer-revi
 ewed journals.\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n*Ioanna* *Mela*\, Laser Analytics\, Chemic
