DESCRIPTION:Psychologists are not using large\, existing\, free data to it
s potential. We don't know what exists\, what it contains\, or how to use
it without a huge investment. Also\, students often feel pressure to find
results in projects that can't answer their hypotheses due to low N. After
a workshop at the SIPS2019 conference\, we published an open list of free
\, large datasets across all of psychological science with descriptive met
 adata: N=115 bit.ly/2FifRWp doi:10.17605/OSF.IO/TH8EW. I will argue why th
is is needed\, examples of how to use it for classroom teaching and superv
ision\, and present an example of a research program in environmental psyc
hology that incorporated open data from the list (focusing on personality\
 , identity\, and pro-environmental behavior).
