 e in Cambridge with an interest in image processing as applied to medicine
 . The workshop will be split into four sessions\, covering major themes in
  image processing as it applies to medicine across a range of image acquis
 ition techniques and physical scales from molecules through cells\, tissue
 s and organs:\n\n* *Morphology and Heterogeneity* will cover the measureme
 nt and analysis of shape and composition.\n* *Imaging Mechanical Propertie
 s* will address topics such as tissue stiffness and compliance.\n* *Analys
 ing Motion / Change* will cover the measurement of flow and techniques for
  motion tracking.\n* *Novel / Enhanced imaging* will cover techniques for 
 increasing spatial and functional dimensionality.\n\nEach session will con
 sist of longer talks providing an overview to introduce the relevance of t
 he session in Medical applications\, and very short talks from members of 
 the local research community introducing some of their own work relating t
 o each theme.\n\nAll talks will be at a fairly high level\, suitable for a
  broad audience\, concentrating on what has been achieved\, what still nee
 ds to be achieved\, and why\, rather than going into technical details. Ea
 ch session will be closed with a discussion\, aiming to pull together comm
 on research strands across discipline boundaries and potential future rese
 arch directions.\n\nThis is a whole day workshop\, including morning and a
 fternoon coffee and a light lunch\, all at the Cancer Research Institute o
 n the Addenbrooke's site. In order to plan the catering\, attendees must r
