DESCRIPTION:This lecture engages with how a politics of size can reveal th
e ways in which distance\, volume\, capacity\, agency and relationality ar
e mobilised to reconstitute higher education as a global enterprise and un
iversities as global actors. In this paper I explore the ways in which the
spatial politics of size are at play in charging up\, and powering forwar
d\, the governing of the world class university. This spatial vocabulary o
 f sight includes vision\, visibility\, verticality\, volume\, and vertigo.
Taken together\, these modalities of space ‘V-Charge’ the reimagining
\, recalibrating and remaking of higher education as a global enterprise.
