DESCRIPTION:Mendeleev's Gift to Everyone (including you and me)\n\nCome to
  Trinity College to hear from celebrated chemist\, research professor\, an
 d the final speaker of the IYPT Symposium – Professor Sir Martyn Poliako
 ff CBE FRSC! Known for his Periodic Table of Videos project\, an outreach 
 effort to familiarize the public with the elements of the periodic table\,
  Sir Martyn achieved his undergraduate and PhD degrees at the University o
 f Cambridge\, and currently leads a research group at the University of No
 ttingham\, developing green chemistry. Sir Martyn Poliakoff was knighted f
 or his services to the chemical sciences in 2015\, as due to his work as a
 mbassador for UK science and in public outreach. He also first brought the
  concept of the International Year of the Periodic Table into public aware
 ness\, and such is largely the reason we are holding such a symposium!\n\n
 TCSS and ChemSoc have come together\, on occasion of the IUPAC Internation
 al Year of Periodic Table of Chemical Elements 2019\, to bring you this ta
 lk as part of the larger IYPT Celebration Symposium. It will take place in
  the Old Combination Room\, starting at 16:30. The talk has free entry\, a
