DESCRIPTION:The metabolome is the full complement of metabolites present i
 n a cell\, tissue\, or organism in a particular physiological or developme
ntal state. As such\, it is highly responsive to homeostatic changes induc
ed by genetics\, external factors and treatment and ideal to study disease
 \, gene function\, toxicology\, environmental analysis\, clinical diagnost
ics\, nutrition\, and the discrimination of organism genotypes. Metabolon
is the global leader in metabolomics and has developed an unbiased global
approach to profiling the entire innate metabolome and a vast amount of xe
nobiotics providing an irreplaceable aid in the enhancement of animal heal
th and well-being. \n\nIn the above presentation\, we will provide an over
view of platforms\, deliverables\, pathway and analysis tools. We will exp
lain how these tools inform data analysis to deliver validated knowledge r
ather than data that delivers "best guess" metabolomics via putative ident
ification of metabolites. \n\nFinally\, this presentation will share insig
hts into elucidating the complex relationship between nutrition and metabo
lism and how this data stream can empower investigators in animal health a
nd medicine to develop innovative dietary components and regimens formulat
ed for health maintenance and/or disease management.\n
