 emerging technologies such as AI can play an important role in bridging ga
 ps for intervention planning and critical decision making. The AI research
  group in Uganda specialises in the application of artificial intelligence
  and data science to problems of the developing world in context of\; gath
 ering information on underserved/ under resourced phenomena using conventi
 onal and unconventional methods\, using machine learning as decision suppo
 rt where there is lack of human expertise\, and resource allocation of sca
 rce resources.\n\nFor this seminar\, I shall present some of our work that
  we have done in the domains of agriculture\, health\, infrastructure etc.
