DESCRIPTION:Using the results of recent works on impacts physics\, we devi
sed analytical and numerical models to study the evolution of planets with
polluted envelopes. We find that envelope pollution drastically changes i
ts interior conditions and argue that the early formation of these planets
can naturally be described as consisting of three distinct phases. We sho
w that our general model can intuitively explain several observational cha
 racteristics of the exoplanet population.
