DESCRIPTION:Matrix.org is an open source project and non-profit foundation
  which publishes an open standard for decentralised communication - lettin
 g anyone host their own end-to-end encrypted chatrooms while participating
  in an open global network.  The goal is to return control over communicat
 ion to the general population - liberating it from WhatsApp\, Slack\, Goog
 le and friends.  Some of the ideas for Matrix originally came out of a Par
 t IB project\, and in this talk we'll give an introduction to the protocol
 \, its history\, its clients & servers\, and where it's going next!
