DESCRIPTION:We investigate the relation between information (in the Shanno
n sense)\nand decision-making. It turns out that information is a prime re
source\nfor any agent or robot. Taking this into account permits one to\nf
ormulate principles of arranging information in the decision-making\nproce
ss of such an agent. Thus\, the necessities of information\nprocessing imp
ly certain types of invariants and architectures - or\nalso principles by
which behaviour should naturally be selected.\n\nThis has ramifications fo
r the organization of the sensorimotor loop\nand\, by implication\, sensor
ics and actuatorics and behaviours. My talk\nwill discuss a number of scen
 arios illustrating these points.
