DESCRIPTION:The Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector (BMCS) of the RS
 C will be hosting its second postgraduate symposium for PhD and postdoctor
 al students working in biological or medicinal chemistry and related areas
 . The event will be held in the Department of Chemistry at the University 
 of Cambridge on Thursday 11th December 2008. Students working in these are
 as from any UK university are invited to participate.\n\nRegistration will
  start at 9:00 am with talks beginning at 10 am. The day will consist of n
 ine oral presentations (6 student and 3 industrial). Each 20-minute studen
 t talk will be followed by 10 minutes for questions. Throughout the day th
 ere will be keynote talks from industrial chemists. A buffet lunch will be
  provided to accompany the poster session. The BMCS judges will be awardin
 g prizes to participants. There will be one prize of £250 for the best or
 al presentation and a prize of £100 for the best poster. These will be ce
 lebrated at the end of the day.\n\nIf you are interested in presenting you
 r relevant PhD or post-doctoral work please submit a half-page abstract by
  17th October 2008 along with your registration form. Those selected by th
 e BMCS committee to give oral presentations will be notified by 15th Novem
 ber. Travel expenses will be reimbursed to speakers.\n\nThis event is FREE
  but all attendees should register as soon as possible and no later than b
 y Monday 1st December.\n\nTo register please send a completed registration
