DESCRIPTION:Renormalisation is a very powerful tool to study quantum field
\ntheories in flat spacetimes. In the past it has been used over and over\
nagain to make precise calculations and to give us our deepest\nunderstand
ing of what is a quantum field theory. Hence it is only\nnatural to try to
extend this tool to curved spacetimes\, however\, in\nthat scenario we wo
uld need to allow our renormalisation scale to depend\non the spacetime po
int. This talk will go through the main details\ninvolved in defining such
a local RG scheme. This is also one of the\nmain results of arxiv:1910.09
559 written in collaboration with Jorge\nSantos.
