DESCRIPTION:High energy proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LH
 C) allow probing signatures of yet unobserved dark matter particle product
ion\, complementing the direct and indirect dark matter detection experime
nts. Dark matter particles can be detected by the ATLAS detector via their
recoil if produced in association with particles visible to the detector
such as quarks\, gluons\, photons\, vector bosons or Higgs bosons. The sen
sitivity to potential dark matter signals at the LHC can be substantially
enhanced by considering the hadronic boson decays in challenging event top
ologies with highly boosted decay products. This requires the development
of modern reconstruction techniques based on calorimeter and precision tra
cking detector information. I will discuss recent LHC searches using Run-2
proton-proton collision data recorded with the ATLAS detector\, placing a
particular focus on signatures with hadronic final states.
