DESCRIPTION:We develop a novel deep learning tool\, Alchemite\, for materi
als discovery. The approach merges together both experimental data and com
 puter simulations\, in particular learning property-property correlations\
, to exploit all possible sources of information. The tool has been used t
o design several materials that have been experimentally verified and pate
nted. We present just one case study where we discover and characterize th
e new nickel-base alloy for direct laser deposition most likely to simulta
neously satisfy targets of processibility\, cost\, density\, phase stabili
ty\, creep resistance\, oxidation\, and resistance to thermal stresses. Ex
perimental testing confirms that the physical properties of the proposed a
lloy exceed those of other commercially available Ni-base alloys for combu
stor liner applications. The Alchemite machine learning algorithm is now b
eing commercialized by startup Intellegens.\n\nProbabilistic neural networ
