DESCRIPTION:Rap is the most popular poetic form in the world. It is also a
  multi-billion dollar industry. This talk will follow the development of R
 ichard’s interdisciplinary research agenda through a focus on three proj
 ects: his doctoral study on London’s rap scenes\, his research on black 
 men in high security prisons\, and his recent AHRC-funded project\, Perfor
 ming Hip-Hop Englishness.
