DESCRIPTION:Ice formation is crucial in many industrial and natural contex
 ts\, from plane icing to icicles for instance. Using the simple situation 
 of a water drop impact on  very cold substrate\, I will discuss the differ
 ent parameters and physical mechanisms that control the dynamics of ice fo
 rmation. Finally\, I will present more  complex situation where the freezi
 ng structure is controlled by a surface flow.
