DESCRIPTION:Important cohomology theories are associated to one dimensiona
l Group Schemes. Ordinary cohomology is associated to the additive group\,
while K-Theory is associated to the multiplicative group. Following this
correspondence it's therefore natural to consider cohomology theories asso
ciated to elliptic curves and try to construct equivariant versions of the
 m. One of the first applications of the algebraic models for rational S1-s
pectra introduced by Greenlees was the construction of an algebraic model
for rational S1-equivariant elliptic cohomology. After a breezy introducti
on to rational G-spectra and the algebraic models for them we will constru
ct this model discussing which aspects of the theory are reflected in the
 geometry of the elliptic curve.
