DESCRIPTION:This talk will concern connected reductive algebraic groups (C
 RAGs) defined over an algebraically closed field. To each CRAG one can ass
 ociate a combinatorial invariant known as its root datum. A classic result
  of Chevalley states that the isomorphism classes of CRAGs are in bijectiv
 e correspondence with the isomorphism classes of root data. This begs the 
 question\, when are two root data isomorphic? In this talk we will describ
 e an algorithmic solution to this problem. Part of this is joint work with
  Jean Michel.
