DESCRIPTION:Consider a non-local variable\, that is a property associated\
nwith quantum state(s) of several particles distributed in space. Can we\n
measure such variables instantaneously\, that is in a space-like setting\n
(without communicating classically between the sites)? Relativistic\nCausa
lity imposes certain restrictions on what can be measured\, but\n(perhaps
surprisingly) allows some flexibility. In this talk I will\npresent a brie
f review of some historic and (relatively) recent\ndevelopments and discus
s interesting concepts and ideas which arise\nalong the way.
