DESCRIPTION:We investigate a family of random sets in R^d^\, the fractal p
 ercolation\, and show that almost surely\, the Hausdorff dimension of the 
 fractal percolation set may be decreased via a quasiconformal map f:R^d^->
 R^d^. The talk is based on joint work with Eino Rossi (University of Helsi
 nki).
