DESCRIPTION:The Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge is pr
 oud to announce the launch event for *Cavendish Prism - the department’s
  LGBTQ+ network*.  The aim of the network is to support LGBTQ+ members of 
 the department through social events\, visibility initiatives and represen
 tation within the department. The network was made possible with support f
 rom the Cavendish community forum and the head of the department.\n\nOur l
 aunch event will be introduced by the head of the department\, *Prof Andy 
 Parker*.  We are pleased to have *Dr Laura Reyes* (Programme Manager\, Inc
 lusion and Diversity\, Royal Society of Chemistry) as our launch event spe
 aker.  She will be talking about the recent joint report by the Royal Soci
 ety of Chemistry (RSC)\, the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the Royal Astr
 onomical Society (RAS): ‘*Exploring the workplace for LGBT+ physical sci
 entists*’.  She will also be discussing recent findings from the RSC’s
  report: ‘*Is publishing in the chemical sciences gender biased?*’.  \
