DESCRIPTION:The top-quark mass is a fundamental parameter of the  standard
  Model\, as it helped to constrain the Higgs mass even before its discover
 y and plays a role in any statement on the stability of our universe.\nThe
 refore\, a reliable estimate of the error in its determination is of param
 ount importance.\nIn this talk\, the main sources of theoretical uncertain
 ties in the top mass extraction at the LHC will be discussed\, paying spec
 ial attention to bottom-quark fragmentation in top decays and in the inter
 pretation of the measurements\, based on Monte Carlo event generators\, in
  terms of well-posed definitions like the pole mass.\n
