DESCRIPTION:The subjunctive mood is often replaced by the indicative mood
in everyday "buy an essay":https://buyessayclub.com/ speech\, but it does
 have two important purposes.\n1.It expresses a demand\, suggestion\, recom
mendation\, or statement of necessity. Very often\, sentences that satisfy
these purposes will contain the words "demand\," "suggest\," "recommend\,
" or "necessary."We suggest that Bobby play basketball at the recreation c
enter. We suggest that Susan study hard for exams. These sentences could al
so begin with the phrases\, "We recommend" or "We demand\," but the import
ant aspect of the subjunctive mood is that with these phrases\, the verb d
rops the -s that people might include onto the end of the word "play" or "
study" to follow different set of grammatical rules. It is necessary that h
e be on time for work in the morning. In the subjunctive mood\, the correct
verb form is "be" instead of "am\," "is" or "are."\n2.In the second scena
rio\, the subjunctive mood is used to state a condition or a wish that is
not likely to come true. This use requires the verb to be in the past tens
e.\nIf I were you\, Bobby\, I would play basketball at the recreation cent
 er.\nIf I were to quit my job\, I would have trouble finding a new one.I w
ish I were a stronger basketball player.\nNotice that in this second purpo
se\, the subject of each sentence is "I" and the correct verb form in the
subjunctive mood is "were" not "was." It is important to note though that
"I" is not the only possible subject in a subjunctive sentence. If the man
were any taller\, he would hit his head on the tops of door frames.\nIf th
e dog were white\, he would be camouflaged in the snow.\n\nVerb moods are
an important element of a sentence. Their goal is to express the purpose o
f the sentence by providing a clear meaning of the thought. To understand
which verb mood is required\, try to first establish which of the above co
nditions the sentence is trying to fulfill.
