 903264/ .*\n\nAbstract:\nI will discuss recent work showing how quantum fi
 eld theory problems can be embedded on quantum annealers. The general meth
 od we use is a discretisation of the field theory problem into a general I
 sing model\, with the continuous field values being encoded into Ising spi
 n chains. To illustrate the method\, and as a simple proof of principle\, 
 we have used a (hybrid) quantum annealer to recover the correct profile of
  various tunnelling solutions. I will discuss this as well as outlining fu
 ture possibilities. These methods are applicable to many nonperturbative p
