DESCRIPTION:Over the past decade\, exoplanet surveys have discovered that
many other solar systems teem with super-Earths on sub-Mercury orbits. A m
ajor open question is whether these super-Earths formed on their observed
close-in orbits or formed at wider separations and migrated in. I will pre
sent recent work on what the orbital and compositional properties of super
-Earths in inner solar systems can reveal about super-Earths’ origins an
d more generally about the physical processes driving the formation and ev
 olution of planetary systems.\n\n
