DESCRIPTION:Theories of quantum gravity are believed to be constrained by 
 a number of consistency conditions such the absence of global symmetries 
 and the weak gravity conjecture.  We discuss how many of these conjecture
 s can be unified using ideas of generalized global symmetry.
