DESCRIPTION:Since the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012 its Standard Mo
del like nature continues to being corroborated by observations of many of
its predicted production and decay channels. However\, the most probable
decay of the Higgs boson to a pair of bottom quarks\, which has a branchin
g ratio of 58%\, has only recently observed. It remained elusive due to it
s challenging experimental signature. This presentation will focus on the
measurement of the Higgs boson decay to a pair of bottom quarks in associa
ted production with a W or Z boson. The recent results of VH\,H—>bb meas
urements have been performed with the full LHC run-2 data set collected by
the ATLAS experiment. Two analyses will be discussed: one probing signatu
res at low transverse momenta and one probing signatures at high transvers
e momenta. The former was the main contributor to the observation of H->bb
decays. It has since been updated with more data and higher precision has
been achieved to further our understanding of H->bb decays and VH product
ion. The measurements of H->bb decays where the Higgs bosons were produced
with high transverse momenta is a novel analysis that extends the probed
transverse momentum range by using dedicated reconstruction techniques. Si
nce certain beyond Standard Model modifications would alter the high trans
verse momentum tail of the spectrum this analysis reaches further into thi
s regime of potentially new physics.
