DESCRIPTION:We present a tool designed to aid planning of community-based\
nPlasmodium falciparum prevalence surveys. The tool is based on a probabil
ity model featuring a\nspatiotemporal Gaussian random\nfield and the most
comprehensive contemporary P. falciparum\nprevalence dataset available. It
allows\nusers to design surveys in a simple Google Earth-based interface\
, then\ncomputes updated maps of\nthe remaining uncertainty and predictive
distributions for one or more\nutility metrics given that the\nsurveys wi
ll be carried out. The expectation propagation algorithm\nmakes it possibl
e to approximate\nthe required updates to the posterior in a reasonable am
 ount of time.\n
