DESCRIPTION:Most children are adopted after cumulative experiences of malt
 reatment and institutionalization. How are they\, physically and psycholog
 ically\, when they join their new families? What is the extent and the tim
 ing of their recovery? Does recovery follow similar patterns in different 
 areas (growth\, cognitive development\, attachment…)? Answer to these qu
 estions will be illustrated with data from a study of children adopted int
 ernationally into Spanish families.
