DESCRIPTION:Hardware-accelerated network monitoring is essential to meet t
he requirements of line rate network traffic processing without a packet l
oss.\nOn the other hand\, hardware in form of ASIC (Application Specific I
ntegrated Circuit) misses the flexibility of software-based tools.\nThe tr
ade-off between software and hardware seems to be FPGAs (Field Programmabl
e Gate Arrays).\n\nIn the presentation\, I will talk about acceleration of
two widespread network monitoring applications\, NetFlow and Snort. I wil
l describe the network acceleration platform\, design and algorithms used
for implementation of these two applications\, achieved results\, deployme
 nt and future directions.\n
