DESCRIPTION:Although combustion of spray is widely used in power generatio
 n and aerospace industry\, the simple paradigm of flame propagation in a c
 loud of droplets is not completely understood. We carried out a one dimens
 ional numerical study of the premixed flame propagation in a monodisperse 
 spray\, using detailed chemistry and transport. The effects of initial dro
 plet diameter and overall equivalence ratio were examined. The flame speed
  was correlated to an effective gaseous equivalence ratio and three differ
 ent flame structures were observed.
