DESCRIPTION:I will first talk about the recent wave of successful associat
 ion studies for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and more generally for multi-genic c
 omplex diseases.\nI will then show how these new genetic findings are tran
 sforming medical research\, and what the next steps should be to better un
 derstand these diseases.
