 using on the dialogue between the aesthetics of memory Vuong figures in ea
 ch and prevailing conceptions of contemporary American masculinity. Vuong
 ’s aesthetics encourage the reader to notice the peculiarities in what i
 s presumed ‘normal’ for a man in 21st century America\, uncovering the
  violence and exclusion bound up within that notion.
