DESCRIPTION:Bullying is a widely occurring phenomenon in secondary schools
 \,\none that is worth studying for its social implications as well as its\
 npsychological dimensions. My research project\, insofar as it focuses on\
 ncoping strategies in secondary school males\, emphasizes the importance o
 f\nthe psychological aspect. This seminar will present the most employed\n
 definition of bullying and illustrate it with a range of examples drawn\nf
 rom my own research. Various theories of bullying and resilience\, as well
 \nas details concerning my methodology\, are introduced with the objective
  of\ncomparing a range of different coping strategies that I discovered wi
 th\nthose in extant studies. Finally the notion of hegemonic masculinity\,
  as\nvehicle behind bullying amongst secondary school males\, will be eluc
 idated\nin the light of my research project.\n
