DESCRIPTION:The idea that Anglo-American relations are "special" is usuall
 y associated with Winston Churchill\, and this “specialness” has been 
 claimed and declaimed ever since his time. Does this relationship really e
 xist? If so\, how do we know\, how did it become possible and what effects
  does it have? This talk begins to address these questions through an anal
 ysis of U.S.-led "coalitions of the willing."  \n\nBio: Srdjan Vucetic is 
 the Randall Dillard Research Fellow in International Studies at Pembroke C
 ollege. He specializes in international security\, identity politics and A
 merican foreign policy. He received his PhD from Ohio State University in 
 2008\, holds an MA in Political Science from York University\, and receive
 d a BA (Hon.) in International Relations from the University of Toronto.  
 His articles have appeared in a number of international journals\, includi
 ng Human Rights\, Canadian Foreign Policy\, Spaces of Identity\, and South
  East European Politics.
