 ) 021601)\, that the universe could be invariant under a subgroup of the L
 orentz group instead of the full group\, offers a solution for the neutrin
 o mass without introducing new particles. In this talk we will review the 
 main features of the model and how the non-local operators present in VSR 
 theories modify QED in 1+1\, 2+1 and 3+1 dimensions.\n
