DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge University Energy Network (CUEN) is delighted to
  present the first of our series of sustainable energy lectures for this y
 ear. In light of his new book\, Prof. David Mackay provides insight into t
 he true scale at which sustainable energy technologies would have to be de
 ployed to meet our energy demands.\n\nProf. David Mackay is the professor 
 of Natural Philosophy at the Department of Physics\, University of Cambrid
 ge\, earning his professorship in 2003. His work is on the Bayesian probab
 ility theory\, and its application to inference problems\n\nIn addition\, 
 Prof. Mackay has worked on improving the public understanding of Sustainab
 le Energy. The culmination of this is his new book\, Sustainable Energy - 
 Without the Hot Air\, which is available free online from his homepage.\n\
